YOUTH PLEDGE TO LIVE CONFLICT SENSITIVE LIVES IN NTOROKO DISTRICT




The youth in Uganda are seen as idle and disorderly individuals in the community and in most cases are targeted to cause coarse in the communities where they live. This is not different from the youth in Ntoroko who form 98%  of Ntoroko  population. However, after the introduction of project ‘Community led action to prevent and manage conflicts and human rights violations in Rwenzori region’, the youth have now realized their potential to bring peace and bring to an end the conflict that has been prevailing in the region.
This was heard during meetings held during the mapping of CBOs that RIDE AFRICA intend to work with in the above project that is funded by EU through HIVOS and implemented by RWECO consortium.
